Man with Chickens -– Homme aux Poules - Ome eme li galino

The chicken farmer brings an offering of his best chickens - carried in a big basket on his head. Dressed in his Sunday best, his hat by his side, he offers one white chicken and one black. The black chicken is especially treasured as the broth from cooking a black hen is believed to be especially nutritious for a new mother.
